We would like to thank the National Potato Council of Kenya for running an excellent open day at Nyahururu in Laikipia County, Kenya. It was our first opportunity to introduce our new varieties Tornado, Fandango, Bikini, Imagine and Infinity to Kenyan farmers.
We were overwhelmed by the welcome and supportive comments from everyone we met on the day. IPM Potato Group and our partners, Kevian Kenya Ltd are working hard towards having certified seed of our own and local Kenyan varieties available as soon as possible.
We look forward to meeting many farmers over the coming months at our open days.
