Description:
ELECTRA performs consistently well across a wide range of geographic locations, producing high yields of large, bright tubers with excellent appearance and free from internal defects. ELECTRA has good resistance to common scab, foliage blight and gangrene and keeps very well in store. It has good taste and is suitable for dishes where a firm potato is used.

Growing Advice:
 

• ELECTRA is an indeterminate variety, therefore excessive uptake of N must be avoided.
• Use low rate of N and plan for crops to be in senescence before haulm destruction.
• Harvest gently to avoid hairline cracking.
• Cutting seed prior to planting is not recommended.
• Moderately susceptible to spraing/PMTV - put control measures in place.
• ELECTRA has long dormancy - consider breaking dormancy of seed prior to planting.
• Herbicide sensitivity: Metribuzin can be used strictly pre-emergence only.
